Celebrate Christmas at Edgewood

As an expectant and reflective season of Advent nears its end, we look forward to celebrating Christmas at Edgewood with some special events. The birth of Christ is an occasion both festive and sacred. The next week at Edgewood UCC will also offer both types of experiences — sacred and festive!

The entire community is welcome to join us on Sunday, December 22 at 10 a.m. for a free concert by local musical legends Atwater-Donnelly. This annual holiday show has become a tradition for our church and our friends and neighbors. Aubrey Atwater and Elwood Donnelly will offer a concert of traditional American and Celtic folk music, dance, and original poetry. Refreshments will be served after the concert. Don’t miss the opportunity to share the joy of their music-making to kick off our celebration of Christmas!

We will also gather for a traditional Christmas Eve worship service at 6 p.m. on December 24. Rev. Nancy Hamlin Soukup will lead the Edgewood UCC community in a service of scripture,  prayer and carols. Brenda Muoio and the Edgewood choir will provide special music, with solo appearances by various members on voice and violin. We look forward to this evening of prayerful anticipation as we await the arrival of the Christ child. All are welcome!
